THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG is full of thrills and adventure exciting enough to keep kids interested, while mild enough not to frighten more sensitive kids. Knotts and Conway carry the film with their slapstick, and they're the characters kids are likely to remember and love. Like the first film, 'The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again' manages to suitably entertain.

I still don't think Theodore (Don Knotts) and Amos (Tim Conway) are majorly. So the kids join forces with the bumbling outlaws to stage a robbery of the gold. Little do they know a surly gang of sharpshooters plans to beat them to the draw! I had imagined that this was going to be more like Home Alone but the villains were.
